When you’re online dating, it’s very common for you to send a message to someone that you’re attracted to online. The problem is, you have no control whatsoever if they reply or not. If this is your case, you probably went over your profile or your message about a dozen times to see what you did wrong. We hope you found the answer you’re looking for but if you haven’t yet, you might just get it today, and finally have women replying to you.
Wake Up And Finally Have Women Replying To Your Online Dating Messages
Here’s a list of things you may have done wrong. You might have sent one of the following messages:
• Hi
• What’s up?
• How you doin’?
• ? (Smiley face)
• Hey
There’s nothing wrong with sending these kinds of messages per say but the truth is, you’re not really giving the other person a chance to reply with something interesting to keep the conversation going. We mean, how exactly are you going to reply to “HI”? The most obvious would be also another “HI”, right? This just sets up the stage for another “Introduction” type first encounter. The usual questions will probably follow: where are you from, what’s your job, etc.
This approach is very awkward for both parties and is outdated in our opinion. It might have worked in the past but it’s not working now. Don’t worry, we’ll show you a better way of how to do it.
Before we give you tips on how to impress women with that first letter, there are a few things that you need to remember:
1. You actually have to read the profile of the person you’re sending a message to. This shows that you are paying attention.
2. Go through his/her pictures so you’ll get an idea of who she is.
So now, here’s a message that would have been more interesting to read and reply to:
“Hi my name is Harry. I’m from New York. I passed by your dating profile and found you interesting. So you like to watch movies? Me too. I just saw Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber last night. It was gore-y but overall I liked the story. What movies do you like?”
Do you see the difference with just saying “Hi”? The second message sounds more engaging. And, if we do an honest analysis of the messages, you’ll most likely say you’re going to reply to the second one because: 1. It’s not awkward, 2. It sounds like the person who sent this is really interested in getting to know you, 3. It gives you the chance to reply with something that’s equally interesting, 4. You’ll be tempted to see the profile of the person who sent you this message.
This may require a little bit of practice and a whole lot of revising and proofreading but it does the job. Try out our dating tips for yourself!
